Spotlight on Club Member Barry Noon
I had a compact digital camera for about 6 years, but I never really got to know its full potential, as like most users, I kept the camera on automatic settings. When the LCD screen went blank, I purchased a DSLR. I decided early on that I really needed to learn how to use this camera to its full potential, so the next stage was to join a camera club. After spending an hour or two on the web looking at what camera clubs offered I decided to visit Blackburn C.C., not the nearest to where I live, but it appeared to be very active.
I joined in autumn 2009 and since then I have not looked back. I am now getting to grips with my camera, learning to use Photoshop software and best of all making new friends who all have a common interest. With the encouragement and help of club members I have entered my work into club competitions and I am looking forward to and enjoying my new hobby.
Below you will see a selection of work. I enjoy taking images of landscapes, wildlife and trying to find creativity within the natural environment.
