Blackburn & District Camera Club
Spotlight on Club Member Jim Cunningham
Hi
My name is Jim Cunningham and I have been a member of Blackburn Camera Club for about three years. I have been interested in photography all my life but the arrival of digital photography (and grandchildren!) greatly expanded my activities. My main interests are in the outdoors - mountaineering/walking and cycling, where a camera adds to the interest of most outings . I find landscape photography the greatest challenge, but I am happy to take photographs of most things, always striving to produce striking or unusual images. I also enjoy digital manipulation on the computer.
I have learned much at the Club, both from advice and criticism from other members, and from judges at the many competitions which take place over the year. An element of competition certainly encourages the quest for better images. I have also found the lectures and presentations to be informative and interesting, often suggesting different approaches to photography.
